All walkers, except children 5 and under who do not want a t-shirt, must register and wear their walker/runners’ number, also called a runners’ bib, to participate.

For those who chose to pick up their shirts in person, here are the three options for t-shirt pickup prior to the event.

Saturday, Nov. 21st

Wednesday, November 25th
10am-6pm @ Coolidge Park, 150 River St, Chattanooga, TN

Thursday, November 26th
6:30am-8am @ Coolidge Park, 150 River St, Chattanooga, TN

The participant shirts are long sleeved.

COME EARLY! Traffic and parking will be time consuming.

Packet pick-up and walk-up registration opens at 6:30 am. The stage festivities starts at 7:30 am and the 5K starts at 8:00 am.

The Grateful Gobbler Walk is a 5K.

Restrooms are available within Coolidge Park. There will also be portable restrooms available as well.

Meet up with the committee member that recruited you and they will sign it or you can get it signed at the volunteer check in station inside the pavilion at Coolidge Park.

Volunteer check-in will be in the pavilion at Coolidge Park. You are also welcome to pick up your volunteer packet the day before the event from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Coolidge Park.

Just click on the registration button to start the registration process.
Click on the red Register button
Choose your registration (Adult, Junior or Sleepwalker and how many of each)
Click on Checkout
Enter your shipping address if you chose to have your shirt(s) shipped
Scroll down to enter Team Name
Choose your shirt size and check the box to sign the waiver
Then click on Place Order
Then continue the registration process.
Lastly, share your team name with family and friends!

YES! The top 3 teams with the most registered walkers will win an award. The contest deadline for teams is the day before Thanksgiving at 11:59 pm.

The 27th Annual Grateful Gobbler 5K will take place once again on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26. Walkers will gather at Coolidge Park for festivities before the 8:00 a.m. start. 100% of the proceeds of the walk will benefit families experiencing homelessness.

Big news for 2026. The Maclellan Shelter for Families on East 11th Street is transitioning to its new home, Provident Place, on Old Lee Highway in Chattanooga. Thanks to a partnership with the City of Chattanooga, which donated the former Airport Inn, capacity will grow from 52 beds to 134, more than twice what we can offer today. Renovations begin this year, and Provident Place opens in late summer 2027. Until then, every dollar raised continues to support families at the Maclellan Shelter.
