Volunteers

We need volunteers like you for the Grateful Gobbler 5K.

It takes 200+ volunteer shifts to pull off Thanksgiving morning, and we need help across several days, not just Thanksgiving morning.

• Packet pickup on Saturday, November 21.
• Setup and packet pickup on Wednesday, November 25.
• And the event itself on Thursday, November 26.

Jobs range from handing out shirts and registering walkers to guiding the route, running a water stop, selling merchandise, and cheering people on. Most need no experience at all, and you can take as many shifts as you like. Every volunteer gets a shirt.

This year’s walk supports the shelter’s move to Provident Place, a bigger building that will serve more than twice as many families.
